The Best Cozy Mystery Flower Shops and Sleuths

With flowers in bloom, it seems like the perfect time to read a cozy mystery set at a flower shop! These sleuths search for clues while making custom bouquets. They make time to stop and smell the roses - even when investigating a murder. Here are a few of our current favorites:

  1. A Flower House Mystery series by Jess Dylan

Series Description: Aspiring singer-songwriter Sierra Ravenswood returns to her her hometown of Aerieville, Tennessee after her dreams seem to crash and burn. She takes up her old part-time job at the Flower House, but things become complicated when her boss disappears, leaving her in charge of the shop, a Corgi puppy, and a murder investigation.

Why we love it: The Flower House is a beautiful setting that we wish we could visit and we love reading about Sierra’s vision boards and attempts to put a positive spin on a situation - even if it includes having to make sense of a dastardly deed.

2. Flower Shop Mysteries by Kate Collins

Series Description: Failed law student Abby Knight uses her nosy nature to solve mysteries while running her own flower shop, enduring family drama, and irritating/enticing the former PI turned restaurant owner next door.

Why we love it: Abby’s adventures are always very funny and we love the ongoing flirtation with Marco.

Magical Series

  1. Village Flower Shop Cozy Mysteries by Nancy Warren

Series Description: Widowed witch Peony Bellefluer runs Bewitching Blooms, a magical flower shop in the Cotswolds in England. She’s not one to run away from a mystery bad things happen in her seemingly perfect town.

Why we love it: We instantly connected with Peony and love all the eccentric characters in her coven and her life. This is a charming and delightful magical cozy.

2. A Magic Garden Mystery series by Amanda Flower

Series Description: Fiona Known moves from Tennessee to Duncreigan, Scotland when she inherits a mysterious magical garden and a flower shop from her late godfather. After becoming the prime suspect in a murder, Fiona works to solve mysteries faster than the handsome Chief Inspector.
