Baking Competitions for Cozy Mystery Lovers
If you’re a fan of baking and mystery, here are a few reality TV show competitions that might tickle your fancy. There are no murders, but these competitions do have a mysterious element that must be solved.
Crime Scene Kitchen
In this show, bakers’ clue-collecting abilities are just as important as their culinary abilities. Players visit a Crime Scene Kitchen where a certain dish was just baked and must use the information from the scene to recreate the dessert. It is hosted by Joel McHale and judged by Curtis Stone and Yolanda Gampp who determine who came closest to solving the delicious mystery.
Bakers compete to create realistic cakes that look like everyday items. Mikey Day hosts and guest judges appear to try and pick out which item is actually edible. You can play along at home as you try to guess “Is it cake?”
In this intense baking competition, the chefs compete in culinary challenges while using aliases. You can watch the players put all their cooking and sleuthing skills to the test as they create dishes to meet each challenge and guess each other’s secret chef identities.
